it's raining blessings!!
seriously! i am being blessed over and over again! God is awesome! i went from having nothing, negative nothing really (or would that be a positive because a negative and a negative make a positive) lol - to blessings galore! i am getting my apartment soon, i have a job, i have income coming in from social security, i have a couch and dining room table (thank you mom and john!) and i also have the extra bed i needed! (thank you rose and kelly) i'm not sure if it's going in ryan's room or my room - we'll figure logistics when we get into the apartment - but the point is...God is blessing me! i know it's because i'm following what He wants me to do and being obedient in everything!
me doing the happy dance! ------>
p.s. when i typed the title of this post a song came into my head...is there a song that is called or has the line in it of "it's raining men?" lol - or am i just weird? wait...don't answer the weird part! rofl

old job new job
well, for those of you who don't get the prayer requests...i'll update you on what is going on in my job situation.
my job at petsmart did not work out...it was a fun job...but a little boring. i would be done with my work at 10 in the morning...with nothing to do after that! anyway, when ryan started going to daycare, i couldn't make it out to red rock in order to be on time for work. i would be about 5 minutes late every day. well, petsmart would not accommodate me so i had to quit - otherwise i would have been fired by the end of the week due to "points". so i started looking for another job...and yesterday (thursday) i had an interview for a job at microsoft!!!!! yes, microsoft! well, i was offered the job yesterday afternoon! yay me! (but what i really mean is thank you Jesus!!) and not only was i offered the job, but the pay rate was advertised as a range - and i was offered the HIGHEST of the range! i'm so excited! and it starts late enough that i can get ryan to daycare and get to work in plenty of time.
so here's the bad part...the lady i interviewed with explained the job to me and it sounds like a VERY fast paced, VERY demanding job. which is good because then i won't be bored...BUT this is where the enemy likes to mess with me. he starts telling me i'm not good enough to do the job and that with my disability i won't be able to do the job and so on and so forth. so i could use some prayer in this situation. i know when i think these things i say, no i am not listening to the enemy. i can do all things through Christ. i know i will be praying constantly on this...and i'm just asking for some extra prayer as well!
thanks so much!

ryan's first preschool cold
ah well...it was bound to happen...but so soon?? ryan has been at preschool for 3 days - and today i picked him up and he has a cold!! poor guy - he's miserable because his nose isn't working. i've given him his medicine...hopefully he will feel better soon.
on another note...the cold didn't stop him from picking up on the girls lol...when i picked him up today the kids were outside...and he was holding hands with a little girl named kate!
it was very cute - they were holding hands and walking to the play equipment.

a new appreciation
Well, I don’t have internet access right now so I’m writing this in Word and I’ll transfer it over later…maybe it will be more than 4 sentences long!
This is something I wanted to write about a couple of weeks ago…but just never got around to it. It’s about a new appreciation for things. Ok…so as you know from my previous posts, I was not too excited about my living arrangements…living in the weekly hotel. Well, 3 Fridays ago I was supposed to get a check from AppleOne (I’d done some temporary work) and with that I was going to pay my weekly rent. I went to AppleOne and guess what? No check…and of course it was too late to do anything about it because “corporate” was back east – or somewhere in a different time zone. Anyway…I had to go to my weekly hotel and check out – that meant back to my car. Mom and John were at couple’s camp – where there is no cell service – except I guess in one little corner of one building…or something like that! Lol So, I decided to call and leave them a message – just to let them know what was going on – and guess what? Mom had service for whatever reason (God) and answered the phone. So, John called and paid for another week (they had paid for the first) so I could stay. Well, let me tell you…I walked BACK into that hotel room with a WHOLE new appreciation of it!! I didn’t care if it smelled. I didn’t care about anything except it was a roof over my head!! It’s funny how something that I really did not care for not 20 minutes before could look SO inviting!
That’s it…just thought I’d share that
